Video Popout is a free Chrome extension developed by loora that allows users to easily detach and load any video element to a floating window. With this extension, you can enjoy watching videos while multitasking or browsing other tabs.
The main feature of Video Popout is its ability to create a small and floating popup window outside of the current browser window. This floating window remains active even if you change the active tab, allowing you to continue watching your video uninterrupted. It's important to note that if you close the tab containing the video, the floating popup window will also be closed.
Video Popout utilizes the new JavaScript API called "picture-in-picture" and is compatible with all modern browsers. The floating window will stay on top of other windows, ensuring that your video remains visible at all times.
To use Video Popout, simply play the video and then click on the toolbar button to make it pop out. Please note that a paused or stopped video will not respond to the pop-out request.
